About me

I’m Orsi /or-she/, the founder and Principal Consultant of Shelley’s Green Consultancy. As an independent consultant, I aim to put the experience and expertise I have gained and developed in the past 18 years at the service of topics and goals I feel passionate about. Sustainable agriculture, resilient food systems, healthy soils, Nature-based Solutions, and impactful policies have been at the centre of my work in the past nearly 9 years, ever since I decided to leave the private sector and started working at environmental nonprofits. I am eager to continue this work as an independent consultant for the same collective, social benefits as before.

While my original academic background is in the humanities (English and Communications), I also hold a university degree in Environmental Management and Policy. I wrote my Master’s thesis on soil conservation practices and how information-based policies can help overcome the social barriers in the way of their wider adoption by farmers.

In the past 9 years, I have supported the development and implementation of diverse policies on national, regional and global levels, developed and implemented a range of international projects, and collaborated with municipalities, national governments, policymakers, civil society organisations, intergovernmental organisations, farmers, and farm advisors. I am committed to participatory policymaking through constructive dialogue and collaboration among stakeholder groups.
